The flagship mud motor in our stable is a 138 pound 627 cc, 23 HP V-Twin. The 23 HP uses the Briggs & Stratton engine backed by a 3 year warranty. With its light weight, this engine will fit a wide variety of boats. From a 1248 up to a 1744. We have found its best performance running on 1548 hulls with speeds ranging from 25 to 28 mph with two men and gear. Easy dependable operation is what the 23 is all about. Very smooth on long runs and an all out performer in the mud, vegetation and timber. The 23 HP comes standard with electric start, recoil back-up starting, remote fuel, oil cooler, upgraded 20 amp charging system, heavy duty starter solenoid, programmable tach/hour meter and 5 feet of battery cable.
The 570 cc, 18 HP is our smallest V-Twin, weighing 135 pounds. Briggs & Stratton powers this little beast, pushing 1540 hulls with 2 men and gear 22 to 25 mph. One big difference between the single cylinder engines and the V-Twin is noise and vibration. With the V-Twin, you'll get sewing machine smooth operation that's great on those long hauls. The 18 HP comes standard with electric start, recoil back-up starting, remote fuel, upgraded 20 amp charging system, heavy duty starter solenoid and 5 feet of battery cable. Custom lengths available upon request.
Our 12 HP LCT is the engine that put Copperhead on the map with never before seen performance from a single cylinder engine on a mud motor. With electric start and pull start back-up being standard, the 12 HP has proven again and again to be a true performer with enough torque to get you through the thickest mud and vegetation. The 12 HP is great for 2 men, a dog and gear on hulls from 1236 to 1450, riveted or all weld. You can expect to see speeds of 18 to 22 mph depending on your particular hull and weighs in at 120 pounds. This unit is also available with the remote fuel option for those who have long distances to travel. The standard 1.7 gallon tank will give around 1 hour run time at wide open throttle, hook up remote fuel and a 6 gallon tank for 6 hours of run time at wide open throttle.
